"No Toy Gets Left Behind"
What’s going on out there in Movieland people it’s Earl, and were going to discus another week in movies today. Other than “Bioshock 2” coming out this past week (oh yeaaa) we had some pretty good new premiere’s such as “Percy Jackson & the Olympians the Lightning Thief”, The “”Wolfman, and “Valentine’s Day”. So far so good for movie premieres this month. I’m starting to see more interesting movies so I guess the new movie season is pretty much here. Well critics reviewed each film and I was surprised to hear all 3 get some form of mix reviews. I really wasn’t rushing to see “Percy Jackson” because it looked liked a cheesy over priced CGI movie (Avatar haters back off). The “Wolfman” was viewed as a good film but not a good storyline. I wanted to see it but depending on weather conditions. “Valentine’s Day”….well I said what I felt about the “thing” last week but the critics of LA Times, and Chicago Sun thought it was worse . But one critic shouldn’t dictate what is good not good.” Dear John” is still 1# in the box office this weekend, which is pretty good because people do need some love stories especially in the crisis our country is in.
Big news for the week had to have been trailers. First well begin with a childhood favorite of everyone and their auntie, “Toy Story 3”. If you any one has yet to see the 1st trailer you can view it here, but earlier this week a 2nd trailer was released and it gave us a little more insight of the film. I was actually a little “geeked” (hype) when I saw the trailer just because it’s been so long since I’ve seen the 1st one. I actually don’t remember seeing the second.
2nd big news was over the growing anticipation is about the movie of the other “Avatar”, you know the nick show? Yea, so the movie “The Last Airbender” had a trailer during the Superbowl(I was going to make a joke but ill leave it alone) which I missed but I recently seen both trailers and was actually surprised how interesting M. Night Shyamalan is taking the story to the silver screen. So this is the stuff I thought was cool ill see you next week.

I can see why Dear John is still number one. They decided to have it come out at the right time. Right before Valentines’ day and most girls are crazy about that movie. I have always loved Toy story. I like the first toy story the best. That movie had a lot of lesions in it for real life that you learned as a kid. Like how not to lose your old toys. Which I really thing they meant stay in touch with your old friends when new friends come into your life. I have learned that lesion a lot throughout my nineteen years of living.
I was actually geeked also when I seen the previews for Toy Story 3. I love the previous movies and I cant wait to see the next one. even though it wont be as good as the first its the fact that there is another toy story movie coming out that shocked me. Also the last airbender movie doesnt seem like its going to be too bad either.
Great job Earl, love the talk about Toy Story III. I’ve always loved Toy Story and still watch in every now and then just for laughs. The new one should turn out to be pretty good. With the Avatar, I’m hoping that it doesn’t totally kill the TV series, and make it a laughing stock. Although from what I’ve seen so far it might turn out ok. Haven’t seen any of the new movies out yet, might go see one this Saturday for my anniversary of dating my wife. Not sure though which one I should go see.
I am also excited for the new toy story to come out! I was a big fan and the others and watched them so many times its crazy! I herd that Valentines day was a terrible movie and that Dear John movie has all the girls talking but i still yet to see it. I can not wait until all the new movies to come out!
" No toy gets left behind" was one of my favorite lines in Toy Story it is what Woody says i think
You all were just wee pups when the first Toy Story came out; I was surprised that at 21 (or so) I liked a "children's" movie as much as I did (despite the Randy Newman-laden soundtrack).
Earl, you have a good rhythm going on in these blogs here. Work on proofreading, though. And get to italicizing movie titles--no quotes!
I watched the trailer for Toy Story 3 and it looks pretty good. I havnt seen the first two in a long time, but I remember they were good movies. I am defiantly looking forword to the the trhird one now. The other Avatar movie also looks pretty badass. i watched the cartoon version and thought it was a great show. The movie thats being made looks even more awesome, cant wait to see them both.
I can not wait for Toy Story 3. I use to own almost every disney movie invinted. The only thing I am worried about is that it is not going to be as good as the others. Whenever Disney tries to carry on a movie it starts to lose it's shine and become uninteresting. Guess we shall see when it releases.
